For the Lazy Amongst Us
I am wholly anal-retentive about paint brushes…which is why I keep my own old Purdy brushes in my chest for when I need to paint a piece of furniture. I can’t stand it when paint gets up in the ferrule, and I am dogmatic about reinserting a brush into its cardboard sleeve to dry after cleaning, so that it keeps its proper shape. (Heck – I’m still lamenting the 2004 sale of Purdy to Sherwin-Williams; I swear the brushes changed after the acquisition, and they are not as perfect as they used to be. Sigh.)
But I am also lazy – and will not clean a paintbrush until I have to. Here’s how I get away with that.

Thank you Megan. I have used that method for a number of years when painting and it works especially well for water based paints as shown.
Cheers,
Michael
Lazy?, Nah.... Go wisely and slowly. Those who rush stumble and fall.
