3rdly, Would you recommend the woodowl file? Still googling for the flat thing in your hand, instead of the Japanese saw sharpening file with the raised center tapering to the edges.
I've never had a square go out of square. I've had two that failed to lock. The little whatchamacallit that engages the groove in the ruler seemed not to be hard enough, and just seemed to wear down. If anyone has a fix for that, I'd be happy to hear it.
you dont have to lie we all know that fart came from his butt
You caught me
Such great timing for this video. My 12 inch square is a bit out. Luckily less than Megan’s, so I’m hoping for a 36 hour turn around.
Yep. Nope.
This is FUN!

They come in sets. They are handy for lots of tool maintenance on handplanes as well.

I have a set of these, I thought you had something different in your hands.

Good demonstration and sound recording.
Is that how it arrived?
Nope! Just asked Megan and she said it's at least a decade old. This was the first time it's needed correcting.
The only thing that comes to mind is they can slowly wear down on the front side through much use. Could've knocked me over with a feather.
Trying answer the question "how does it go out of square"?
I'm sure a decade of use could be to blame! Dropping it also probably doesn't help.
