Very nice-looking work, Kale.

There's something fishy about that last one, though.

I'll see myself out. :D

Amazing fish, Kale!

Very cool, it seems like carving would be a great way to get some work in without a great deal if cost and could be done just anywhere.

Thanks again for sharing your workshop experience. Perhaps learning gives greater pleasure than even knowledge does; or at least a different, a special, kind of pleasure.

Excellent work! I love the fish and acanthus, you certainly do have a feel for the work.

Every single time I step through those doors to her classroom, I feel relaxed, welcome, engaged, and important.

Mary has that certain thing which makes each student feel cherished.

Thank you, Kale, for sharing your carving workshop experience. The photos are intriguing - I had to zoom in to realize that the backgrounds on some were carved away! Awe inspiring! It's such a pleasure to live a bit vicariously through your adventures. Perhaps some carving will one day work its way into some of your chairs. I foresee eagle claws grasping spheres at every joint! ;-)

Glad you enjoyed our lake. My grandfather was a teamster delivering lumber to the crew building its Bagnell Dam during the depression. Mary gave a demo’ at one of our monthly Kansas City Woodworkers’ Guild meetings.
